With a view to liquidating the inventory, Mahindra & Mahindra has decided to observe no production days up to 2 days a week during the remainder of the month at its three tractor plants.
In a communication to the stock exchanges, M&M said that as part of its ongoing rationalisation of finished stocks, it would be observing no production days of up to 2 days a week for the remaining period of March at the tractor plants at Rudrapur, Nagpur and Jaipur.
The company did not envisage any material adverse impact on availability of tractors in the market due to adequacy of tractor stocks to serve the market requirements.
