Mahindra & Mahindra is moving its two-wheeler business to the Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors (AFS), which is headed by Pawan Goenka, Executive Director and President, AFS from April 1, 2014.

This follows the retirement of Anoop Mathur, currently President, Two-Wheeler Sector, and member of the Group Executive Board, on March 31,2014.

This realignment will help the two-wheeler business take advantage of the synergies with AFS across the value chain, including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and human capital, the company said in a statement.

Following this transition, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive - Tractor & Farm Mechanization, will look after the two-wheeler business in addition to his current responsibility and will continue to report to Goenka.

Anoop Mathur has played a key role in building up the two-wheeler business since its formation in 2008 to its present state where it has a presence in both the domestic scooter and motorcycle segments, and its products are being seeded in many international markets.
