A Guard SUV — essentially a bullet-proof vehicle — and the concept GLA, a compact SUV, are among the four-wheelers that Mercedes Benz India is set to showcase at the coming Auto Expo in New Delhi.
The luxury carmaker currently has the Guard S-Class and E-Class in its armoured luxury vehicle portfolio, and is set to launch it in the SUV category for the first time.
The M-Class Guard will have protection elements integrated in the body shell itself.
Also on display at the Expo will be the CLA 45 AMG and the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team car which won the podium in the 2013 Indian Grand Prix.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, said: “The Mercedes-Benz pavilion will be a perfect embodiment of modern luxury, high performance, innovative design and exemplary safety which are synonymous with our brand promise ‘Best or Nothing’.”
Ola Källenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing & Sales, will also be present, making it a senior leadership visit to the Expo for the first time.
