Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (MIDHANI) has achieved an all-time high sales turnover of Rs 630 crore for the year 2014-15. Last year, the turnover was Rs 563 crore.
The defence public sector company ended the year substantially higher than the target of Rs 600 crore.
According to the provisional results announced by the Chairman and Managing Director, M Narayana Rao, the company's sales turnover during the decade 2003-14 has increased five-fold from Rs 125 crore. Profit before tax declared for the fiscal under review stood at Rs 134 crore against Rs 121 crore in the previous year.
The Hyderabad-based company. which provides key technology products for the country's strategic sectors, has also embarked on a modernisation and upgradation programme for its own internal resources and partly from customers to meet the hi-tech special material requirements.
