Agri-biotechnology major Monsanto India Ltd (MIL) today posted a standalone net profit of Rs 1.54 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, due to higher income.
It had posted the net loss of Rs 7.61 crore in the same quarter of the 2011-12 fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income rose to Rs 69 crore in the quarter as against Rs 36.34 crore in the year ago period.
