Auto components manufacturer Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL) has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹287 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, doubling the net profit of ₹ 104 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The high growth was led by sales across segments and various geographies, the company said.
Net sales of the company also rose 14 per cent to ₹9,037 crore during the quarter against ₹7,922 crore in the same quarter last year,
“The second quarter results are among our best-ever. Our continued strong performance is the result of our unrelenting focus on creating value for our customers across all markets and segments in which we support them,” said Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman.
The results confirm the company is firmly on track to achieve its ambitious 2020 target, he said. MSSL had announced new order bookings from its customers around the world. Shares of MSSL closed at ₹265.75 on the BSE on Friday, up 9.59 per cent from the previous close.
