Nippon Paint India on Saturday launched ‘KIDZ Paint’, a child wellness product to safeguard children from indoor pollution arising from formaldehyde, bacterial and viral infections, besides offering superior washability of walls stained by creative kids.
KIDZ Paint has a combination of three safety and wellness features, which include anti-formaldehyde technology that absorbs harmful formaldehyde present in the air, silver-ion technology to fight bacteria and virus present indoors and anti-stain technology that offers superior washability of walls.
“The world is moving towards wellness, hygiene and well-being and such products are aimed at creating wellness within the home,” said Mahesh Anand, President, Decorative Division, Nippon Paint India, which is a subsidiary of Nippon Paint Japan.
“While the LEED rating is for products that are used in a building, the wellness rating measures how safe and healthy people within the building are,” Anand added.
Citing research studies, Anand said children of this generation spend 70 per cent of their time indoors and it was necessary to create a healthy and hygienic indoor environment for them.
Priced at about Rs 1,000 per litre, KIDZ Paint is aimed at children in the 0-12 age group and will be available across the country, besides at Nippon’s exclusive outlets.
