NMDC Ltd has informed that the prices of iron ore with effect from May 4, 2016 has been lowered and fixed at Rs 2,000/ WMT for lump ore and at Rs 1,660/WMT for fines.
The prices are now lower than what the company had announced last month. On April 5, 2016, the mining company had announced the prices of lump ore at Rs 2,100 per WMT and fines at Rs 1,860 per WMT. The prices are excluding royalty, cess, forest permit fee etc.
NMDC shares ended at Rs 93.40, down 4 per cent.
