ONGC has notified three discoveries one each in Cambay and Krishna Godavari onland basins and one new pool discovery in KG shallow offshore basin. The company Board, which met here on Friday, noted that in February three discoveries have been notified to the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons.
One discovery is at the Aliabet No. 2 well in the NELP block CB-OSN-2003/1 in the Cambay basin in western India. According to a statement issued by company, this discovery produced 12,884 cubic meters a day of gas and 6 cubic metres a day of condensate. On further testing after the discovery was notified, it produced 77,167 cubic metres of gas a day and 11 cubic metres of condensate a day, the company said.
The second discovery is at the Malleswaram No.1 well in the PEL block 1A in the Krishna Godavari onland basin in the east coast. According to the statement, this discovery produced 47.52 cubic metres a day of oil and 11,124 cubic metres a day of gas.
The third discovery at the GS—29 No. 6 well in the shallow offshore Krishna Godavari basin in eastern India produced 570.33 cubic metres a day of oil and 118,925 cubic metres a day of gas, the company statement said.
ONGC board also approved the Group’s consolidated financial performance for the nine months of the current financial year. The company’s sales revenue stood at Rs 90.043 crore and profit after tax at Rs 17,776 crore.
