PepsiCo has elevated Sanjeev Chadha to the position of Chief Executive Officer - Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA). He will be based in Dubai and report to Chairman and CEO Indra K. Nooyi.

In his prior role, Chadha was serving as PepsiCo’s President for West Asia and Africa.

PepsiCo India’s beverage and food business heads Gautham Mukkavilli and Praveen Someshwar will report to Chadha for the time being. The India head post has been lying vacant since Manu Anand quit the firm in June.

In his new role, Chadha will be looking into the company’s portfolio covering two-thirds of the world’s population across 90 countries, including the world’s fastest growing economies. Some of these key countries include China, India, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, apart from other West Asian and South Asian countries.
