Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd reported a 20.5% increase in net profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2015-16 at Rs 1,370 crore. In the same quarter last year the company had reported a net profit of Rs 1,137 crore.
During the quarter, the company reported a 19.8 per cent growth in its net revenue at Rs 4,717 crore as compared to Rs 3,938 crore in the same quarter last year.
While the results were announced after close of market hours, Power Grid's share closed 1.04 per cent lower on the BSE at Rs 138.10.
