Prost, a new microbrewery, has opened its brew pub at Jubilee hills here. “We have been operating a microbrewery in Bengaluru since 2012 and were the first to obtain a micro brewery licence from the Telangana Government,’’ its Director Teja Chekuri told news persons here on Friday.
Microbrewery has the advantage of brewing different flavours of beer according to seasons and market preference with fresh ingredients like wheat, rice, mango, apple, chocolate, coffee, lemon and blueberries, etc.
“As it is freshly served, there is no need to add preservative chemicals, which are used in bottled beer,’’ Teja said. According to Vidhatha, Director, German standards were being followed in brewing. Set up with an investment of ₹10 crore, Prost pub is spread across 10,000 sqft with a seating capacity of 345. Prost is one of the 16 firms which were given licences for microbrewery in the city.
