Reliance Consumer Products has acquired the Sil Foods brand, which comprises a range of products such as jams, sauces, mayonnaise, and canned goods.

“This acquisition marks a significant milestone for RCPL in its pursuit of building a business with a solid foundation, while also reviving and reintroducing India’s cherished heritage brands to modern consumers,” the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries said.

It said the addition of the Sil brand and its range of products would complement Reliance Consumer’s existing portfolio. It is also part of its continuing strategy to buy and revitalise existing iconic brands.

Reliance Consumer is aiming to reach the ₹10,000-crore revenue mark, and acquisitions is part of its strategy to reach that level. In the third quarter results, it had said that consumer brands clocked a revenue of ₹8,000 crore in the first nine months of FY25, driven by Campa and the Independence range of products. Both the brands have crossed ₹1,000-crore turnover each in the current fiscal year.

Reliance said it planned to being new life to Sil Foods’ brands. “We believe that with our expertise in consumer engagement, innovation, and distribution, we can unlock the brand’s full potential and make it relevant in today’s fast-evolving marketplace,” said Ketan Mody, COO of Reliance Consumer Products.

Sil Foods would benefit from RCPL’s robust infrastructure and pan-India presence. The company plans to enhance Sil Foods’ product offerings through improved quality standards, wider distribution networks, and impactful marketing campaigns.
