The turnover of the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) registered a growth of 16 per cent in the first quarter, touching Rs 3,000 crore, according to a press release.

On the production front also, RINL registered a growth of 7 per cent in hot metal and 6 per cent in liquid steel. The saleable steel and iron production grew by 2 per cent. On the techno-economic front, 22 per cent reduction in water consumption could be achieved through a string of conservation measures.

Mr A.P. Choudhary, the CMD, complimented the RINL collective on the achievement.
