Sarovar Hotels & Resorts is bullish on expansion in Africa. The company said it has signed up to manage Heron Portico, a 108-room hotel in Nairobi.
This will be the company’s second hotel in Nairobi after Ole Sereni, and the third in Africa, including the New Africa Hotel in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
Sarovar Hotels will take over operations at The Heron Portico on September 1, 2012.
Mr Anil Madhok, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels Pvt Ltd said, “At present we are focusing on expanding in East Africa as we are well versed with this market and consider it a second home for our company.”
