SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd is working on revoking the closure order of Unit-II issued by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
“The company is taking necessary steps to revoke the closure order through the respective authorities shortly,’’ SMS Pharma informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
The Hyderabad-based company has five manufacturing facilities in addition to the above unit and all the other units were operating without any impediments, it said.
Last week, the AP Pollution Control Board had stopped the operations pertaining to the company’s Unit -II located at Batchupally here alleging “manufacturing new products and exceeding consented capacities’’.
SMS Pharma’s unit was one among the 12 units of different pharma companies which were served closure orders.
