Strides Arcolab Ltd has received approval from the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for Benzonatate capsules, which is used to treat common cold and cough.
This will be manufactured at Strides' oral dosage facility at Bangalore and will be marketed by Strides in the US market, company officials said. This will be available in 100 mg and 200 mg doses immediately. The US market for Benzonatate is $41 million, according to IMS.
