The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has asked Ministry of Home Affairs to elaborate on its reasons for denying security clearance to Sun TV required for license renewal. I&B Ministry officials said that reasons given by the Home Ministry so far have been vague, and so have been asked to give clinching evidence and reasons why the company is considered to be a threat for national interest. The I&B Ministry may take the final call on the issue in the next few days, sources added.
