The Suzlon Group said its subsidiary REpower Systems had bagged a 39 MW order from RWE Innogy. The project will be near the city of Gdansk and the wind farm will be RWE Innogy’s fourth in Poland.
Suzlon said 19 of 2.05 MW wind turbines will be built over 15 sq.km. The project is scheduled for commissioning by early 2013. The project has the potential to generate enough power to meet the needs of more than 50,000 homes every year, the company said.
