Tata Communications, a Tata group company, has partnered with IIM-A’s flagship programme — iAccelerate — to encourage entrepreneurs.

iAccelerate is a flagship programme of Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Enterpreneurship (CIIE) at IIM-A, which has helped 17 successful start-ups in the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) space since inception.

“This year, Tata Communications is partnering with iAccelerate to support both financially and infrastructure wise. 11 start-ups will be supported in iAccelerate programme this year,” Tata Communications Senior Vice-President, Mr Srinivasa Addepalli, said.

The three-month programme provides entrepreneurs in ICT segment access to mentoring, infrastructure and investment support to kick-start business.

“Senior executives will mentor the entrepreneurs this year to launch their business ideas,” Mr Addepalli said.

Participants at the end of the programme in January next year shall showcase their final prototype business models before the investors.

Few start-ups incubated through the iAccelerator programme in the past are Innoz, Beevolve, Hashchube, iBloom, Audech and Rendanyway.

CIIE was set up at IIM-A with the support of Gujarat Government and the Department of Science and Technology, GoI to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
