Tata Motors global wholesales of vehicles fell 13.88 per cent to 98,968 vehicles in December 2012, compared with the same month a year ago. The company had despatched 1,14,920 vehicles, including Jaguar Land Rover, in December 2011.

 

Wholesale is defined as despatches from factory to dealers end, and not to the end-users.

 

The company’s cumulative wholesales for the fiscal stood at 8,81,009 vehicles, it said in a statement.

 

The company’s global wholesales of all commercial vehicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera range – stood at 52,043 units (53,854) in December 2012. Its cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were at 4,36,240 units.

 

The company’s total passenger vehicles despatches across the globe stood at 46,925 (61,066) in December 2012, while cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were at 4,44,769 units.

 

Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 14,643 units for the month, while cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were at 1,89,047.

 

The global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were at 32,282 in December 2012. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 5,444 and cumulative wholesales were 36,649 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 26,838 and cumulative wholesales were 2,19,073 vehicles.
