Tata Motors today reported 33.44 per cent decline in total vehicle sales at 50,427 units in September, 2013. The company had sold 75,773 units in the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.
Total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 12,879 units in September, down 40.51 per cent from 21,652 units in the same month last year.
Sales of Nano, Indica, Indigo range in September 2013 were 9,766 units, while that of Sumo, Safari, Aria, Venture range were at 3,113 units, it added.
In the commercial vehicles segment, the company’s sales dropped by 31.96 per cent to 33,119 units in the domestic market in September compared to 48,680 units in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s exports dropped 18.59 per cent to 4,429 units in September from 5,441 units in the same month last year, it added.
