Titagarh Wagons Ltd (TWL), one of the country’s leading private sector wagon manufacturers, has reported an increase in PAT of 32 per cent to Rs 27.16 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2011, over the corresponding quarter last year.

Net sales were up 43 per cent at Rs 217.07 crore against Rs 151.84 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company has declared a dividend of 80 per cent (Rs 8/share) for 2010-11 at the 14th annual general meeting held on July 27, 2011.

Revenues during the first quarter from the Wagons and Coaches vertical increased about 47 per cent. Besides consolidating its position in railway wagons, TWL has plans to build on its presence in the coaches (EMUs) segment where it has the first mover’s advantage even as the company plans to boost performance in the other verticals.
