Deliveries of the new Fortuner have already started. "We are glad that the new Fortuner has been able to make such an impact even after the festive period is over. This reiterates the popularity of the Fortuner, which has maintained its number one position in the segment ever since its launch in 2009,” N Raja, Director & Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said.
He added the company had noticed a customer preference for automatic transmission. “Now we are trying our best to deliver the product to the customer at the earliest so that they don’t have to wait too long,” he added.
The New Fortuner was launched with a 2.8-litre diesel engine with a new 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol version is powered by a 2.7 litre engine with an all-new 6-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission.
