UltraTech Cement, an Aditya Birla Group company, has suspended production at Awarpur plant in Maharashtra due to labour strike.
The plant has a production capacity of 9,800 tonnes per day.
The operations at Awarpur Cement Works, Awarpur, Maharashtra having a capacity of 3.6 mtpa (million tonnes per day) has been temporarily shut down on account of stoppage of work by the workers, said the company in a statement on Friday.
The development will, however, not substantially impact the company’s financials, it added.
