German carmaker Volkswagen today reported a 31 per cent increase in domestic sales at 4,039 units for June this year.
The company had sold 3,079 units in the same month last year.
Sales during the month were driven mainly by new Vento sedan and hatchback Polo.
“We attribute this achievement to our recently launched new Vento, growing trust in the brand among consumers and an excellent dealer network,” Volkswagen Group Sales India Director (passenger cars) Michael Mayer said in a statement.
