The 2024 Indus Valley Annual Report from Blume Ventures shows that just about 10 per cent of India’s population forms the consuming class and that Indians majorly consume groceries. However, it states that the consuming class, with an annual household income of $15,000 or more, is “large enough to power the Indian economy, and is driving premiumisation of the economy.”
