The CBI will be able to file its supplementary chargesheet in the 2G case only by mid-September, the Supreme Court was informed on Wednesday. The agency was to file it by August 31. But the CBI counsel told the apex court that though the investigation has been completed, the final document has to be vetted by some senior officers before it is filed.
Also, the CBI, the enforcement directorate and income tax department will file their respective status reports regarding the probe on 2G case by September 1 before the apex court. The Supreme Court will hear the matter again on September 1.
