A Special Court has reserved its order for December 8 on the application by the Janata Party President, Dr Subramanian Swamy, to examine witnesses, including CBI officers, regarding the alleged role of the Home Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
Mr Chidambaram was the Finance Minister in 2008 when the 2G spectrum was allocated during Mr A. Raja's tenure as Telecom Minister. Dr Swamy wants to make Mr Chidambaram a co-accused in the 2G case. He had alleged that Mr Chidambaram and Mr Raja had jointly taken the decision on the pricing of 2G spectrum.
