India based Amity University has opened its regional campus at the Dubai International Academic City.
Amity University in Dubai will open its doors to students in September this year and offer Bachelor and Master degree programmes in nuclear science, aerospace engineering, solar and alternative energy, transport and logistics, banking and insurance and hospitality administration.
Amity, one of the leading private universities in India, is home to over 80,000 students pursuing 240 programmes in 50 diverse disciplines, across pre-school to PhD.
Mr Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, said, “Amity has a great commitment to the region and will offer over 20 career-focussed degree programmes with a strong emphasis on research and collaboration with the respective industries.
He added, “125 scholarships have also been created for Emirati students as well as meritorious candidates and those that cannot afford world-class education.”
“Amity has done a detailed analysis of the core focus areas as per the strategy and vision of Dubai and identified the sectors that will demand trained manpower in the future, Mr Chauhan said.
