Central Warehousing Corporation, which declared a 41 per cent dividend for 2012-13, paid a sum of Rs 15.34 crore to the Union Government towards dividend payment. B. B. Pattnaik, Managing Director of CWC, handed over a cheque of Rs 15.34 crore on Thursday to K. V. Thomas, Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies. Thomas asked CWC to create additional storage capacity in West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand, according to a CWC release.
