CBEC has said that debt-laden Kingfisher Airlines has now become regular in paying its service tax dues.
The CBEC Chairman, Mr S K Goel said that the airline paid Rs 15 crore in April towards settlement of service tax arrears. With this, its total arrears have come down to Rs 54 crore.
Similarly, it is paying Rs 4-5 crore every month towards regular monthly dues. Just a few months back, the board attached various bank accounts of the airlines as it defaulted in paying the service tax.
