The West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, today launched several projects for North Bengal, including a heritage rail and bus service between Siliguri and Bagdogra, train service between Siliguri and Aluabari, cold storage facilities under the Kisan Vision project and a branch of North Bengal Development Department at Bagdogra station.
Mr Banerjee distributed pattas among 200 landless persons. Four hundred beneficiaries under the Indira Awas Yojna were given Rs 75,000 each.
