Mr Surinder Jakhar, Chairman of IFFCO and son of former Lok Sabha speaker, Mr Balram Jakhar, died of bullet injuries on Monday under mysterious circumstances near here, police said. Early reports said Mr Surinder shot himself accidentally while he was cleaning his firearm, but police are yet to verify the claim. Mr Surinder was brought in an injured condition to a hospital here, some 350 km from Chandigarh, where doctors pronounced him dead.
