A geographical depiction of the cumulative rainfall during the monsoon season

India received normal rainfall after two years of sub-normal monsoons. The cumulative rainfall for the monsoon season beginning June 1 was just 3 per cent below the Long Period Average. The government has projected a bumper production of kharif crop. This should keep inflation in check in the near term.
