Rise in chana futures arrested downtrend on the spot with chana (kanta) in Indore mandis today ruling at ₹3,750-3,800 (up ₹150), while chana (desi) rose to ₹3,500-3,600 a quintal. Chana dal (average) was flat at ₹4,700-4,800, chana dal (medium) at ₹4,900-5,000, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,100-5,200 a quintal respectively. Amid steady rise in arrival of new crop, downtrend continued in dollar chana with its prices in Indore mandis at ₹7,000-9,200 a quintal. New crop with high moisture content fetched ₹7,000.
