The Bengal Chamber and MCC Chamber of Commerce & Industry have hailed the Union Budget for its added focus on agriculture, social and infrastructure sectors.
Bengal Chamber said, “It may propel an agri-based domestic growth and is an attempt to insulate the Indian economy against global economic fluctuations.”
MCC welcomed the proposed large-scale investment on irrigation. Howeve, the chamber stressed on the importance of effective implementation of the projects. It also apprehended that there may be fiscal slippage on account of Pay Commission outgo.
