The Kerala State Centre for Advanced Printing and Training (C-apt), an autonomous institution established by the State Government, has received the Government recognition for the computer courses conducted by C-apt directly and through C-apt Multimedia Academy franchisee centres.

The Government order further states that the certificates issued by C-apt for its various courses are also approved for the purpose of appointment to suitable posts in the public services. With the State Government's decision of making six months Diploma in Computer Application mandatory as an eligibility criterion for the secretariat assistant post, C-apt hopes its courses will gain more importance. C-apt provides various certificate courses in the field of computer, animation and multimedia, office automation, and printing and reprography with a course duration varying from three months to one year.
