The Enforcement Directorate probing the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy disproportionate assets case and money laundering aspects has attached properties worth Rs 51 crore.
The attached properties include that of Hetero Drugs (35 acres) and Rs 3 crore worth fixed deposits, 13 acres of of Janani Infrastructure and Rs 14.5 crore worth fixed deposits of Jagathi Publications, the publisher of Telugu daily Saakshi .
The ED has been probing the money laundering angle to the assets creation and possible violation of foreign exchange regulations.
According to the findings of the multi-pronged probe, the money has been diverted and these firms defrauded the Andhra Pradesh Government.
Hetero Drugs and Aurobindo Pharma have also gained from the transactions, it was observed.
