The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a decision to re-promulgate the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Ordinance, a senior Government official said.
This would enable the Government to go ahead with e-auction and allocation process of 101 coal blocks.
The Cabinet also cleared the floor and reserve price of the blocks for the auction and allocation process. Tender documents for the first 25 blocks to be e-auctioned is expected to be released on December 27.
