Infrastructures Kerala Ltd (INKEL) has announced its first project of “Standard Design Modules” in INKEL CITY, Angamaly.  The project envisages “Ready for Business Space” for non-polluting, environment-friendly enterprises/services.

Infrastructures Kerala is a Public-Private enterprise established by the Kerala Government with an investment from the State Government, NRI Investors, Entrepreneurs, Public Sector Banks, Institutional Investors, etc.

INKEL intends to bring in large-scale private investment in infrastructure development under government control.

INKEL and KSIDC have jointly developed a plan for 50 acres of the land adjacent to Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited (TELK), Angamaly.

Out of this, 30 acres of the land will be developed as INKEL CITY. 

Phased development

The Standard Design Modules are being constructed on 5.5 acres, which is part of the INKEL City. This will be developed in two phases. 

In the first phase, a five-storey building (G+4) with 40 state-of-the-art modules of plug and play type, each of 5,000 sq ft  (approx) will be constructed.

The modules will be made available to entrepreneurs/investors on a renewable long lease of 88 years.

The facility will have a wide parking space, business lounge, advanced fire protection systems, data connectivity with uninterrupted power and water supply. 

A single window clearance facility is also proposed.

The second phase of development will be 4 lakh Sq Ft and this will commence in 2012.

Proximity

The site will be connected to the NH-47 by a dedicated 800-m long 12-m wide road. 

The site is 1 km from the Angamaly railway station, 6 km from the Cochin International Airport and 35 km from the International Container Trans-shipment Terminal (ICTT), Vallarpadam.

These modules  are ideally suited for  IT/ITeS, Food and Food Processing, Light Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Avionics, Printing and publishing, Apparels, etc and all service enterprises like asset management service, ware housing and logistic, architect service, banking and other financial services etc.

Construction has started at the site and the facility will be ready in the first week of the March next.

Bookings have started and the response is very positive, officials said.
