Mr N. Srinivasan, Managing Director of India Cements Ltd and Chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation here on Monday.

The investigating agency questioned Mr Srinivasan for over six hours at the Dilkusha Guest House, its temporary office here, in connection with the illegal assets case of Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

Mr Srinivasan was quizzed on the alleged investments made in companies promoted by Mr Reddy, including Bharathi Cements, in return for ‘favours’ in the allotment of water and mining leases, according to sources.

The CBI has so far filed three chargesheets in the case and arrested four accused, including Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, who is also the President of YSR Congress Party.

Meanwhile, India’s Cements’ scrip declined 1.23 per cent to end at Rs 80.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
