At least 20 people were injured in a blast in a local train in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Six people have sustained serious injuries, Jaya Varma Sinha, DRM Sealdah Division, told a private news channel.
According to sources, the blast took place at the "Up" Krishnanagar local train as it left the Titagarh station in the North 24 Parganas district of the State.
The incident took place at around 4 am.
Initial reports suggest the hand of local hoodlums and anti-social elements in the incident. No arrests have yet been made.
Train services along the route have now been resumed.
