Freight rates for 10-tonne load declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy position of trucks.
Transporters said heavy availability of trucks against tight movement of cargo brought down freight rates.
The Delhi to Guwahati, Pondicherry and Chennai rates eased by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 43,000, Rs 58,000 and Rs 56,000, respectively.
The rates to Goa, Bangalore and Coimbatore also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 41,000, Rs 57,000 and Rs 61,000, respectively.
The freight rates to Gwalior and Ahmedabad too slid by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 10,000 and Rs 16,000, respectively.
The following are today’s freight rates per 10-tonne load: Ahmedabad 16,000, Hyderabad 42,000, Mumbai 23,000, Vijayawada 45,000, Baroda 19,000, Chennai 56,000, Pune 25,000, Bangalore 57,000, Surat 21,000, Mysore 60,000, Kanpur 15,000, Pondicherry 58,000, Kolkata 26,000, Coimbatore 61,000, Ludhiana 15,000, Kochi 65,000, Chandigarh 13,000, Thiruvananthapuram 69,000, Jaipur 12,000, Goa 41,000, Indore 16,000, Gwalior 10,000, Patna 23,000, Guwahati 43,000.
