Train services in the east coast section of the South Eastern Railway was disrupted following the overflowing of river water between Vijaywada and Vishakhapatnam stations because of Cyclone Nilam.
Overflowing of river water has taken place between the Tuni and Golapur stations.
According to a release issued by the South Eastern Railway, some train services like Howrah-Secundrabad Falaknuma Express, Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express, Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express, Howrah-Chennai Coromodal Express and Santragachi- Chennai Special have been diverted.
Trains will take a diverted route via Kharagpur -Tata-Bilaspur-Nagpur-Ballarsha instead of the regular Karagpur-Bhadrak-Vishakapatnam route.
