IBS Software, an IT systems provider to the global air transportation industry, has received the STAT Times International Awards for Excellence in Air Cargo at the recently concluded Air Cargo Africa 2011 event in Nairobi, Kenya.

Based on a worldwide online poll, IBS was adjudged as the runner up in the award category, International IT Systems Provider of the Year in Africa, from among some of the leading global brands.
iCARGO WINNER
IBS earned the award for its iCargo solution, an IT product for managing the movement of air-cargo.
The recognition comes close on the heels of the region's largest carrier, South African Airways, implementing iCargo across its network of 48 stations, including 39 international locations.
The award was presented at a ceremony on the concluding day of the Air Cargo Africa event attended, among others, by leading airlines, industry consultants and experts, airport representatives and service providers to the global air transportation industry.
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
Receiving the award on behalf of IBS, Mr Akshay Shrivastava, Senior Vice-President and Global Head of Business Solutions and Service Delivery, said it was an endorsement of the professionalism and domain expertise of the IBS staff. Air Cargo Africa is a biennial air-cargo conference and expo for global players from the air-freight industry keen to tap the African continent.
