The Director General of International Air Transport Authority, Alexander de Junaic, has said that imposing GST on international air tickets is violation of international standards. He added that nobody expects Navi Mumbai airport to become operational by 2019 as planned.
He was speaking at the International Aviation Summit which opened here on Tuesday. The seminar has been jointly organised by the Airports Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation and IATA.
The DG, while welcoming the new greenfield airport policy, said that it is necessary to have flexible parameters.
