The Railways has announced a tweaking of the ‘Izzat’ travel scheme in favour of passengers.
An official spokesman said here that the distance that could be covered under this monthly season ticket scheme has been raised from 100 km to 150 km.
This will be made effective on tickets purchased on or after June 1, the spokesman said here.
The concessional ticket is priced at Rs 25, which is inclusive of all surcharges.
It is being issued to those working in the unorganised sector with a monthly income not exceeding Rs 1,500, the spokesman added.
