Jet Airways, on Thursday, said that is in dialogue with pilots and other members of its team to resolve issues including disbursement of salaries. The airline said that it has paid salaries to 84 per cent of its employees.
“The airline management is undertaking definite steps to turn around its business, and is evaluating various funding options on priority to resolve the interim challenge. The management is confident of resolving these challenges, and is in dialogue with the pilots and other members of its team to resolve some issues including disbursement of salaries,” the company said in a statement.
However, a pilot who was part of the discussion with the management, said the company is under severe financial stress and that is leading to salary delays. “We are hopeful that the airline will find new sources of finding soon. Salary for last few months for the pilots have been on time, but this month we are still waiting for the salary. However, we are still talking to the management and so far there’s no panic situation.”
