Senior airline staffers met with staffers in Delhi on Thursday.

According to senior Kingfisher officials, March salary for the remaining staff will be given in about a week. The airline hopes to start operating again in four to five days.

The airline staff has not been paid for the past seven months. At a recent meeting with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Agarwal said that at least 2,000 of the 4,000 staff had recently been paid their March salary.

Talks fail

The talks between CEO, EVP, pilots and engineers of Delhi base ended in failure as there was no commitment made by the management regarding payment of overdue salaries.

Employees demanded the payment of long pending salary (7 months) prior to resuming operations. All of them expressed their keenness to resume work provided their dues are cleared expeditiously.
